Doing what matters
I love this speech! (Steve Jobs, Stanford commencement address, 06.2005)
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma—which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They some how already know what you truly want. Everything else is secondary.”
There is no universal success secret. You have to define what matters to you. Don’t seek goals for their own sake. First, find somehting that creates meaning, that matters to you. Second, manage your thoughts to keep you on track. Then take action in pursuit of what matters to you.
Most of us worry more about being loved, than being what we love. Ladies and gentlemen, more courage please to follow your passions!
